Orientation for the SPU-NISSO-NA Engineering Program at Sripatum University

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, NA Bangkok Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Peerapat Srisukha, Managing Director, joined executives from Nisso Corporation, Japan — Mr. Hajime NAKAMURA, Director of the New Business Development Division, Business Planning Department, and Mr. Masakazu MIYANO, Deputy Director of the Global Business Division, Business Planning Department — to participate in an orientation session for the "SPU-NISSO-NA Engineering Program" during the freshman welcome orientation of the Faculty of Engineering, Sripatum University, for the academic year 2026.

The SPU-NISSO-NA Engineering Program was established under the concept of "Human Resource Development of Japanese-speaking Highly Skilled Engineering Professionals." Its goal is to prepare engineering students to develop Japanese language skills alongside their engineering knowledge, thereby increasing their opportunities to work with leading Japanese companies both in Thailand and in Japan in the future.

During the event, students received information on trends in engineer demand within Japanese industries, career pathways for engineering professionals with Japanese language skills, and strategies for self-development in preparation for the international labor market.

In addition, a special lecture was delivered to 11 third-year engineering students who had been selected to participate in the SPU-NISSO-NA Engineering Program. The lecture covered the program's objectives, Japanese language learning approaches, preparation for professional skills and Japanese work culture, as well as opportunities for internships and future employment with Japanese companies — all aimed at inspiring and equipping students to develop themselves into world-class engineering professionals.

Following the orientation, a meeting was held with Assistant Professor Dr. Yasumasa MORI, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts for International Affairs, to exchange views and outline the implementation plan for recruiting first-year students into the program.
