According to weather forecasts, the Kanto region—including Tokyo, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, and Yamanashi—is experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures exceeding 40°C.
Residents are advised to take precautions against heatstroke.
Basic first aid measures include:
Move to a cool, well-ventilated area.
Loosen clothing and cool the body using cold towels, ice packs, or cold water bottles applied to the neck, underarms, and legs.
Rehydrate with water or electrolyte drinks.
