MOL Overseas Matching in Tokyo, Strengthen Thailand-Japan Workforce Collaboration and Prepare for the ESD System

On July 16, 2026, NA BANGKOK RECRUITMENT CO., LTD. participated in the MOL Overseas Matching event held at the Royal Thai Embassy Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Organized by Thailand's Ministry of Labour, the event aimed to strengthen cooperation between Thai overseas recruitment agencies and Japanese receiving organizations while providing a business matching platform to support the expansion of Thailand's workforce under Japan's new labor system.

During the event, our company met with Japanese receiving organizations, industry associations, and relevant institutions to exchange information on workforce demand and explore new partnerships for recruiting and placing qualified Thai workers in Japan. Discussions also focused on the Employment for Skill Development (ESD) system, under which Thailand became the first country to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with the Japanese government. This milestone marks a significant step forward in labor cooperation between the two countries and lays the foundation for aligning Thailand's overseas employment system with Japan's new foreign workforce policy.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Jullapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour of Thailand, and attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Labour, representatives of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, and key Japanese organizations, including the Immigration Services Agency (ISA), the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), the Organization for Technical Intern Training (OTIT), and the Japan International Trainee & Skilled Worker Cooperation Organization (JITCO). Participants exchanged perspectives on the future direction of labor cooperation between Thailand and Japan.

The event also served as an important platform for preparing stakeholders for the implementation of the Employment for Skill Development (ESD) system, which will replace the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and provide a pathway to the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program. The new framework is expected to enhance workforce skills, strengthen worker protection, and create clearer long-term career opportunities for Thai workers in Japan.
